Charleston is one of three Mississippi communities that will partner with the University of Mississippi through its M Partner initiative. M Partner was launched in March. It is part of UM’s comprehensive strategic plan Flagship Forward laid out by UM Chancellor Jeffrey Vitter during his inaugural address in November 2016.
The Center for Population Studies has a longstanding relationship with Charleston through its partnership with affiliated researcher Catherine Woodyard Moring and the James C. Kennedy Wellness Center in Charleston where Dr. Moring serves as Executive Director.
